All In A Days Work
| Tuesday March 6, 2001 was a busy day at ZIRCAR Ceramics. Shown below is a quick look at some of the completed jobs in line to be packaged and shipped. We thank you for the part you played in this work. |
Shown above is a lot of Alumina Insulation Type AL-30AA. They are used as thermal insulation in copper vapor lasers. AL-30AA with its 30 pcf density provide optimum low thermal conductivity at process temperatures of 1500°C. |
Pictured above are Alumina Silica Insulation Type Ash parts which were fabricated on one of our CNC routers. These parts are used to thermally insulate electrical components used in high temperature applications. |
The lot of ASH parts shown above are used as thermal insulation in semiconductor thermal processing equipment. |
The ASH parts shown above are going to be used as the backup thermal insulation in furnaces operating to 1700°C. As backup insulation ASH has a very uniform density which contributes to energy savings and greater temperature uniformity. |

This picture shows three stacks of standard boards. In the lower left are ZAL-45 boards. On the right are ASH boards. In the rear are SALI-2 boards. |
The picture above shows how we ship our Z-450 Castertips. This box contains 20 pieces that are 2100mm long. |
This picture shows a batch of fiber insulated heaters which are to be used in an analytical device generating temperatures as high as 1100°C. |
The Fiber Insulated Heaters Type FIH shown above will be used in a crystal growing furnace. FIH heaters can produce temperatures of 1100°C and generate 1500 watts per square foot of power. |
These FIHs (Fiber Insulated Heaters) make up the heating element and insulation systems of a salt bath annealing system operating at 1100°C. |
Shown above is a stack of SALI-2 boards which will be used in the construction of 1800°C rated rapid cycle lab furnaces. |
These SALI-2 discs will have a few holes drilled into them by the customer who will use them as roofs in some of their oxide crystal growing furnaces. |
These ZAL-15AA parts will be used as the intermediate insulation layer in 1700°C rapid cycle lab furnaces. ZAL-15AA has a unique alumina binder system which gives it an extra amount of resistance to being attacked by corrosive compounds that may be present. |
These ZAL-15 parts will be used for their reflective and thermal properties on infrared drying equipment. Element temperatures on these devices can reach 1400°C+. |
Pictured above are a lot of ZIRPOR1 microporous insulation machined parts which will be used in a particular type of advanced thermal battery. |
Shown above are a batch of SALI hotface panels for use in 1700°C rapid cycle laboratory furnaces. SALI exhibits superior hot strength and machineability. |
| We hope this quick tour of part of our shop helps your efforts in the solution to your toughest thermal process applications. |
