GENERAL INFORMATION

ZIRCAR Hydrogen Torch Elements Type HTE are specialized Heater Modules built in the shape of a small clam shell tube furnace. Used mainly in semi-conductor wafer manufacture as a means of producing ultra high purity water vapor, these units find a variety of uses to 1100°C (2012°F). Custom units are available for use to 1300ºC (2372ºF).

These units combine high temperature Fiber Insulated Heaters, a split stainless steel enclosure and electrical hardware to form a rugged, rapid response heating unit. Standard torches have a flush-mounted helically wound Fe-Cr-Al coil element. The diameter of the coil is carefully controlled ensuring uniform heating and long life by reducing the risk of overheating. Hydrogen Torch Elements incorporate 100% organic free high temperature low mass thermal insulation which will not smoke or outgas. The insulation is double rigidized and firmly held in the enclosure to minimize particle generation.

All units are equipped with high quality stainless steel spring-loaded latches and include an adjustable thermocouple mounting bracket that accepts a 1/8in. diameter probe. All heating element terminal blocks are made of high temperature thermo-resin compound and accept up to #8 AWG conductors 

Standard Hydrogen Torch Elements are available in a range of chamber sizes from 1in. to 2.5in. inside diameter, lengths of 4.25in. to 7in.and power ratings from 400 to 1600 watts. Units with a straight bore, vestibules and trumpeted openings are standard.

AVAILABILITY

Some "Standard" Hydrogen Torch Elements listed above are available for immediate shipment from stock. 

Custom units are available on request. Units with inside sizes ranging from 1/4in. to 12in. ID and lengths from a few inches to several feet are possible. Our forming techniques allow a wide variety of sizes and shapes to be made. Special geometries such as custom bore (round corner square, hexagonal, oval, etc.), vestibules and trumpets can be fabricated.
