GENERAL INFORMATION
 ZIRCAR Ceramics Alumina-Silica Insulation Types ECO-27A & ECO-27B are utility grades of ceramic fiber insulation board suitable for use to 1260°C (2300°C). Both are strong, rigid refractory structures of high temperature ceramic fibers, clay filler and high purity inorganic binders. ECO-27A  contains a few percent organic binder and aids in room temperature handle-ability while ECO-27B which is organic free. Their high strength make them useful in load support applications such as experienced in refractory brick backup and large unsupported roof spans. They offer low thermal conductivity, excellent thermal shock resistance and are an effective thermal insulator in numerous thermal process systems.

AVAILABILITY

Boards are available on a custom basis and are typically produced in sizes up to 24" wide x 48" long x 1" to 2" thick. Custom boards and shapes smaller than a few cubic inches and larger than several cubic feet may be manufactured.

Custom boards, shapes and preparations are available on request. Custom machining, compositional variations and the application of surface rigidizers and hardening agents are also available.
