ZIRCAR Ceramics’ Silica Rigidizer Type SI-RIG is a single-part water-based suspension of colloidal silica. The silica is non-agglomerated and completely dispersed. This negatively-charged ammonium-stabilized suspension requires no mixing or dilution.
Silica Rigidizer Type SI-RIG can be used as the inorganic component in numerous vacuum-formed ceramic fiber products exhibiting useful properties to temperatures as high as 1825°C (3317°F). SI-RIG should be stored at temperatures between 5°C (41°F) and 32°C (90°F) to prevent irreversible precipitation of the silica.
